Windows 8 Apps

It will not be too long before we see an array of Windows 8 apps for the new Windows 8 operating system. In this guide, we will explore a bit more about the upcoming Windows 8 applications.

Apps Will Greatly Benefit from ARM

In January 2011, we received official confirmation that Windows 8 would use an ARM system. ARM has been designed to run on lower end technology (tablets and mobile phones). As we all know, mobile phones and tablets are the main reason that applications have become so successful; therefore, one thing we can take from this is that the Windows 8 application will have fewer errors.

There is more official news for Windows 8 phones and tablets than the new operating system. What we can gather from this is that Windows 8 will put in a lot more work on their applications. Many thought that the Windows 7 applications were rushed; therefore, lacked quality.

Number of Windows 8 Apps To Increase Exponentially ?

It is no secret that Apple currently dominates the application market. Microsoft clearly has plans to challenge Apple with a new line of exciting applications. There is no doubt that due to the inclusion of the ARM systems, Microsoft has a team of people working around the clock to ensure that Windows 8 is much more successful than its predecessors.

What Applications Can We Expect?

As we have seen with all the Windows 7 phones, Microsoft is not short of a few applications. Obviously, we can expect all the ‘normal’ applications, such as You Tube, Facebook, Adobe and Amazon, but it is expected that there will be an influx of top of the range gaming apps as well.

Currently, gaming on the Windows 7 series of phones is either better than or on the same level as what is offered by Apple. This is mostly because Microsoft has the console powerhouse who is Xbox. It is expected that the ‘link’ between the Windows 8 operating system and Xbox will be more evident; therefore, we can expect that the gaming platform will also be stronger. This should (if everything goes to plan) make gaming on the Windows 8 operating phones better than their competitors.
While barely anything has been confirmed, one thing is for sure, there is a lot of excitement surrounding everything related to Windows 8 applications because of the amount of work that Microsoft is putting into development. However, until the day of release, we will probably know little else.
