How to turn on or off file and printer sharing in Windows 8

When your using Windows 8 as a server to allow other systems to connect to it, you can always allow or disallow file and printer sharing with your system. If your OS is the only one connected with the printer and other systems connected to it want access to print, then here is how you can enable or disable these settings in Windows 8:

Turn on file and printer sharing settings

1. Open up Control Panel

Open Control panel

2. Click Network and Sharing Center

Click Network and sharing center

3. Click Advanced sharing settings and when you are in, check or uncheck Turn on file and printer sharing underneath File and printer sharing
