Dual-Booting Windows 7 and 8
If you have installed Windows 8 on the same partition as Windows 7, there is unfortunately for you no way to switch back to Windows 7 without re-installing it.
How to confirm that? Open the Windows Explorer (pressing Windows key + E) and then go to C:/ – if there is a folder called Windows.old then you can’t simply switch back. If there isn’t such a folder it’s probable that you installed it on a different partitio as recommended.
