If your main Internet connection goes down and you don’t have access,you could always use mobile broadband connection from your laptop for the other computers in your home or office.
Is also important to remember that most smartphones these days can operate as mobileWi-Fi hotspots directly from the phone – but this depends on your carrier.
Here’s a guide and sharing a Mobile broadband connection directly from your laptop.
Go to the Control Panel and open the network and sharing centre.
Once you have opened the network and sharing centre on the left panel you should be able to see change the adapter settings. Click change the adapter settings to proceed.
You should now be able to see your mobile broadband connection. Right click your mobile broadband connection and select properties from the context menu that appears. If you’re using a touch based device using an upwards motion to access the context menu.
Once you have opened the properties window you should be able to see as sharing tab in the dialogue box. Click this sharing tab.
Select the box that says allow our network of computers to connect students computer’s Internet connection. Make sure it is now checked.
Once you have completed this, set your home networking connection type to Wi-Fi. Once you have done this, computers in the near vicinity of your device will now be able to access online through your host laptop.
