How to open windows 8 disk management?

What is Disk management?

Disk Management is a Windows tool, used for changing drive letters, format drives, shrink partitions, and perform other disk tasks. It is an extension of the Microsoft Management Console that allows full management of the disk-based hardware.

There are three ways for opening disk management in Windows 8. Follow the instructions below to see these ways.

Process 1:

1. Open Run by pressing Windows + R simultaneously. Now type “diskmgmt.msc” without quotes and press Enter.

2. Now type “diskmgmt.msc” without quotes and press Enter.

Process 2:

1. Open Run. Then type cmd and click on OK.

2. Now type “diskmgmt.msc” without quotes and press Enter.

Process 4:

1. Switch to Desktop mode by pressing Windows + M.
2. Now right-click on the My Computer icon and click on Manage.

3. Now the Computer management window will appear. Click on the Disk management on the left pane.
