Microsoft brings Metro Interface, which definitely has variations with its predecessor and most of them are no doubt better. Windows 8 has also changed its Task Manager along with many other components. Microsoft has added App History, Start Upand Details but removed Applications and Windows Tab. Though they have their differences, but both are good. The Windows 7 Task Manager is easy to manage for normal users. Thus if want to use
your old Task Manager, follow the instructions given below carefully.

1. Open My Computer by pressing Windows + E. Now navigate to C:\windows\System32\.
Now find out taskmgr.exe. This is your old Task Manager, hidden in Windows 8. You will also get
TM.exe. That is your new Task Manager available in Windows 8.
