How to enable or disable Quota Management in Windows 8

Since Windows 7, and now in Windows 8, we are noticing the feature of Quota Management. Quota is an allocated space for every user assigned by the administrator so that no single user can fill the entire hard disk space. This allows various users to log in and store their data in assigned data limits. This is important if you are using your computer at an organization where sveral users log in and log out at the same day. Here is how you can change it in Windows 8:

Show quota settings

1. Open up File Explorer

Open File Explorer

2. Now right click the hard disk for which you want to set quota and click Properties

Right click hard disk and select Properties

3. Now click the Quota tab and then click Show Quota Settings. If asked for UAC, simply click Yes

Click quota and then click show quota settings

4. Now you can assign the quota limits in KBs, MBs, and TBs, alongside setting the warning levels. When done, click OK

Check or uncheck enable quota management
