The new windows store is no doubt a great feature that comes up with Microsoft Windows 8. However, if you don’t like to have the store inside your Windows, here is the process to disable the windows store in windows 8. There may be more than one reason behind disable this feature of windows 8. Corporate environment can be one of the possible reasons for disabling this feature of windows 8. So, this tutorial is more for IT admins rather than a regular user.

First off, make sure that you have logged in as an Administrator, because you need to access and change local group policy.
The following steps will serve your purpose.

Steps to disable it

1. First of all you need to open Group Policy Editor. Press (Windows + R) keys to open Run window and type gpedit.msc and hit enter.

2. Now, by expanding corresponding triangle icons navigate to the following tree map:

3. You will see Turn off the Store application in the right pane. Double click on Turn off the Store application.

4. A new window will pop up. Set the radio button to Enabled option, and click OK.

Click Enabled

You are done. Now, simply log off and log back in to see the change.
