Microsoft Windows 7 and 8 come with an excellent feature of text to speech, enabling physically impaired people that are having poor eyesight to operate their systems with the ease of listening to what is present on their screens. There are properties as to the speed, and accent of the speaker. Here is how you can change these settings in Windows 8.
1. Open up Metro Menu. Type in Change text to speech, click Settings underneath Search and then click Change text to speech options on the left pane.
2. In the following window, you can select the voice underneath Voice Selection and adjust the voice speed by moving the slider from left to right. When finished, click OK
