I started the site Windows7themes.net back in October 2008, shortly after launching the site VistaDesktopThemes.com
Obviously both sites do not only cover Windows themes, but also PC tweaks, news and guides for Windows users.Windows8themes.org will follow the footsteps of those sites:

Ok, let’s do a recap what’s new in Windows 8. First of all, Microsoft plans to create a completely new GUI, the explorer will probably be gone. 64-bit will be the standard edition (rather than 32).
We can probably expect a new filesystem and a new way to navigate. If they are going to add cluster support in Windows 8 we will also see many applications that support multiple clusters to balance the system load, how awesome would that be? (more…)

So, Microsoft is asking students what Windows 8 features they want and need. If you are looking forward to some shiny new features in Windows 8, why not suggest some yourself. You know what you want and need every day, so why not help Microsoft to make the best OS ever?

Microsoft decided to sell the Windows 7 desktop to big companies like Porsche, Coca Cola and Infinity.
Basically they allow advertisers to use the desktop for commercial purposes. New gadgets, themes, screensaver and more will turn your desktop into a Porsche desktop. That’s a great way to establish a brand or drive traffic to a website.
I am convinced that this can be another great revenue stream for Microsoft. Will they integrate even better ideas into Windows 8?

Microsoft has it’s own team to analyze competing operating systems, such as Linux and Mac.
They also research new features by analyzing other systems and user feedback. One of the major key elements will be a completely new GUI.
On a Linkedin Profile it reads:
I work with other User Experience Directors and User Experience Designers deciding on successful feature possibilities by analyzing competing operating systems (Mac and Linux). Research customer reactions to these features in Windows 8 themes and planning for long-term products such as Windows 9 User Interfacing.

Microsoft has been working on a new system that allows people to synchronize and share files. The clou? You can access your files from any device anywhere in the world, because Microsoft keeps a copy of your files on their own server.
How’s that possible you may ask. Cloud Computing is the keyword. Microsoft has a giant cloud of computers that can store large amounts of data, possibly more than Google.

Although 2012 might be the end of the world there might be a good chance that Microsoft will release Windows 8 in that year.
After the Windows 8 news leak on Linkedin.com, Steve Ballmer confirmed that they are working on Windows 8 and it is supposed to be released in 2012.
Some people might argue that Microsoft won’t be able to release a brand-new Winows in less than 4 years. Although, Microsoft has greater resources than any other ‘real’ software company it might be pretty tough.

Some great Windows 8 news! That means the Windows 8 kernel might indeed support 128-bit, but if that is going to be support for a 128-bit CPU or FPU, we don’t know.
